More to Love

Looks can be deceiving with Baby Hudson.  While Hudson looks as if he might be 6-9months old, he is only a mere 3 months.  Hudson Lee Townsley was born this past December, at a whopping 10lbs.  He is off the charts in height and weight for his age, according to the growth charts used at his pediatrician.  However, his two mommies, Karen and Kim, whom allowed me to take maternity photos of them, this past October, only see Hudson's size as more to love.  Hudson was a very calm contented subject for my photos, and I can only attribute that to the wonderful loving environment that he is growing up in.  Karen and Kim provided a very laid back and calm photography experience and it definitely paid off.  Now . . . please enjoy the photos of this beautiful baby boy.

Blogs and Babies are in Bloom

It's been a long time since my last blog, but with the warmer weather and the beautiful blooming flowers of the spring, come the beautiful bouncing babies.  So when I was asked to take newborn pictures of this gorgeous little girl, I jumped at the chance.  Little Layla is the new baby sister of Parker, whom I photographed this past fall for his 2 year pictures.  Just like her old brother, Layla has been blessed with the face of an angel.  Enjoy the new pics and look for more blogs to come soon.  Thanks!

My Girl, My Muse

No matter how busy I am with taking pictures of others, I always make time to take pictures of, well . . . my baby.  She’s really not what others would consider a baby, but she’s my baby.  Little Miss Kara is my 2 ½ year old daughter.  She is beautiful on the inside and out.  There is really no amount of words that could describe the love that I have for this child.  She’s my everything, and she has been my photographic muse, since the day she was born.

All Dogs Go to Heaven

Rachel and Cody have been together, since Rachel’s junior year, in high school.  At only 4 weeks old, Cody was a gift from Rachel’s parents.  Cody has been a dependable friend to Rachel for almost half of her life. So, a few weeks ago, when Rachel found out that Cody had a tumor on his heart and did not have much longer to live, she asked if I would take some pictures of Cody for her.  What a wonderful way to celebrate the life of a true friend and create some final happy memories together.  I was all too happy to take them.  Although, Cody does not have much more time on this Earth, he will spend the rest of his days being loved and cared for by Rachel’s mom, Diane, who has cared for him, since Rachel got married.  Thank you for letting me be a part of this very touching memory.

Post Engagement Pictures

Jen and Brian should look familiar, because I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph their wedding, this past September.  Jen has been a big supporter of my photography from the very beginning, so I asked Jen if she and Brian would mind doing some promotional “engagement” shots for me . . . even though they’re already married :).

Jen and Brian are just one of those couples who have fun together and genuinely enjoy each others company.  I had such a great time with them, despite the cold.  I think I was laughing just about the whole time we were shooting.  It wasn’t until I started editing the photographs that I realized that I had caught some really tender, loving moments between these two.  Enjoy!

The Musician

Brett is a senior in high school, but to look at him and talk to him, you’d think he was in his twenties.  Brett is a musician, laidback, and wasn't really into the formality of your typical senior portraits.  He wanted two things:  a picture with Cincinnati in the background and pictures with his guitar.  We did both, but started with Brett playing a little impromptu jam session.  From what I could hear, he is an accomplished guitar player.  He plays guitar for the band One More Go.  Brett played his first show with the band, this past Sunday, and had shared how nervous he was.  Judging from how he played in front of me, he had nothing to be nervous about.  Check out Brett’s band One More Go on Facebook and MySpace.
